TDK Unveils Industry-First 1608 Package 100V/1μF MLCC
TDK Corporation recently announced a major advancement in its commercial multilayer ceramic chip capacitor (MLCC) lineup. In a standard 1608 package (1.6mm × 0.8mm × 0.8mm), the company has achieved a 100V-rated capacitor with a capacitance of 1μF, featuring X7R temperature characteristics—the highest value currently available in this size category. The product officially entered mass production in June 2025.

Addressing the Demands of 48V Power Systems
As AI servers, energy storage systems, industrial equipment, etc. continue to put forward new demands for high energy efficiency and miniaturization, the 48V power supply architecture is gradually replacing the traditional 12V solution. Compared with multiple parallel connections, a single 1μF product has lower ESR/ESL and stronger parameter consistency, which helps reduce energy loss and suppress harmonic interference. It is particularly outstanding in high-reliability scenarios such as AI server power supplies, energy storage inverters, and industrial automation power supplies.
