3 A Output, 3.5 V-28 V Input Wide-Range Non-Synchronous Buck Converter|570 kHz Fixed Switching Frequency|Eco-Mode Light-Load Efficiency|SOIC-8 Package.
Product Overview
The TPS54331DDAR from TI is a wide-input-range (up to 28 V) step-down (buck) DC/DC converter capable of delivering up to 3 A output current. It integrates a high-side MOSFET and uses current-mode control with a fixed 570 kHz switching frequency, simplifying compensation and enabling low-cost ceramic output capacitors.
It features Eco-Mode™ pulse-skipping for high light-load efficiency and has a shutdown quiescent current of typically 1 µA, making it suitable even for battery-powered systems. Comprehensive protections include programmable undervoltage lockout (UVLO), overvoltage transient protection, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, thermal shutdown and more.
