Product Overview

     The LM393DT is part of STMicroelectronics’ LM393 family of dual comparators, integrating two independent comparators operable from a single or dual-supply rail. The device supports a wide single-supply voltage range of 2 V–36 V or dual supplies of ±1 V to ±18 V, features an input common-mode range including ground, and uses an open-collector output structure compatible with TTL/CMOS logic.

     Typical quiescent current is about 0.45 mA (per comparator), input bias current ~20 nA, input offset voltage around 1 mV typ, and response time approximately 1.3 µs (RL=5.1 kΩ, 5 V supply), making it well-suited for level detection, threshold switching and comparator triggering applications. The LM393DT comes in an SO-8 surface-mount package in tape-and-reel format, suitable for automated SMT production.
