The BQ24123RHLR from Texas Instruments is a highly integrated switch-mode charge management IC designed for Li-ion and Li-polymer battery packs. It includes synchronous power FETs supporting up to 2 A charge current and supports 1-, 2- or 3-cell battery configurations. The device uses a fixed-frequency PWM controller (~1.1 MHz) with 0% to 100% duty-cycle range, offering high-accuracy voltage and current regulation, temperature monitoring, reverse-leakage battery protection, and an automatic sleep mode.
